Hi! I’m Katie ☺️

I love food, fashion, and my cats! Growing up, I spent my days learning to cook with my mom and my grandma, planting gardens in the spring, and eating from them throughout the summer, and I remember not really loving any of it. I definitely have always loved food, and fashion, and my cats, but I didn’t start learning and loving food, food histories and cultures of the world, and how much food impacts us socially and emotionally, until I was in my mid-twenties.

I spent the last 10 plus years working in marketing, for what I thought was, my dream companies, and in my dream roles. But in the summer of 2022, I decided to quit my marketing job, unsure of exactly what was next. By September, I found myself working in a local restaurant, here in Redding, deciding whether or not I was cut out for the restaurant life, and whether or not I actually liked it, or if I just liked the idea of it. It turns out, that I loved it.

I realized that I needed a creative outlet and a place to put all of the years of reading, and researching about food, so Supper Club was born in January of 2023. These dinners are small pieces of me, over a few courses. Our world is so fast-paced, and I want the people who attend these meals to remember that it’s ok to slow down for a meal, to enjoy the people and the atmosphere around them, hear about where their food is coming from, who is growing it, making it, and turning it into something delicious.
